"IP-Country" program was written for my own use, so it is free but it wasn�t thoroughly tested. Many programs exist that give you information about country IP belongs to, but they all require internet for work and take too much time to analyse big lists. Using "IP-Country" program you can analyze lists of IP addresses off-line and find out what country each IP belongs to. Program can analyze manually entered IPs, specifically formatted text files or any files that have IP addresses inside.

Program doesn�t need setup, just unpack it into separate directory. It has windows interface and is easy to use.

If you want to analyze single IP you should enter it into "Enter IP" textbox and press "Find" button.

If you want to analyze a list of IPs enter path to "Analyse file" textbox or press "..." button and chose file to analyze in standard �Open file� box. If IP�s list is text file formatted as:

123.23.45.23:8000
234.32.43.123:80

(each IP at separate line, no other text in file, could be without port) you can press button "Formatted file". If your file is not formatted (e.g. HTML file or text file with other format) you should press "Unformatted file". It will take some time to analyse file. When analysis is over message box will appear and results will be shown in a grid. You can clear grid ("Clear" button), kill duplicates ("Kill dupes" - you'll have to wait it works slowly on big lists) or you can export results into Excel (if you have Excel installed). In Excel results are represented in three columns "IP", "Port", "Country". You can choose necessary info through filters.

To download zipped program click here (430 kB). I want to remind that program doesn�t require installing. Program can be run at any Windows above 98 (I didn�t test it on 95 and NT). You can require some libraries, which are not included into program pack. If some library is missing Windows will give you a message with file name. You can find required file yourself in the Internet or on other computers or you can e-mail me and I�ll put it here. You should download, unzip and put required library into program�s directory. Here are several libraries you can need (in archive): Mshflxgd.ocx, Comdlg32.ocx, Fm20.dll.

21 June 2010 IP database was updated. It will take a little bit more time to analyze proxy-lists, but quality improves also. Download and unzip new database instead of the old one or better download the full program again.

IP database used in program can become a little bit obsolete after time, so if you want to be 100% sure, I recommend you to check IPs through Whois service. Now accuracy is about 99%, the biggest number of errors is for small countries and territories.
